Aging is an inevitable process of life and has become a key product of the demographic transition for the decline in rates of fertility as well as mortality from higher to lower levels. Sudden spurt in the elderly people in a population pose multiplechallenges before the society. In India as per census 2011 it has been reported as 6-9% of the population is between 55-64 years while 5.7% of 65 and above and this demographic transition have an impact on the individual, family, community or society and nation.

Dr. Rajesh G. Konnur is currently serving as a Professor at Kurji Holy Family Hospital College of Nursing Patna Bihar. He Has more than 14 years of experience in teaching and clinical supervision of nursing scholars. Authored more than five books and published a dozen research papers at national and international journals and conferences.
